Hi, just a quick question folks... Do new modules need coded/programmed? Im confused as there seems to be loads of conflicting info out there.. I heard used ones are plug'n'play but they are like hens teeth to find! The local BMW stealers are looking £152 for a new one and another £195 on top to fit and "code" it... Apparently takes 2 hours to do?? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated!

I replaced an MPM which got liquid on it and no coding was required.
