If you want to stick with Halogens then the best and most efficient globe you can get is the Osram Rallye 65w Special service bulb. Much better then the Nightbreakers with twice the service life at 500hrs and a 2100 lumens output (up from 1500). They are not 100% legal as they are a 65watt bulb but are within the power and heat limits of the stock lamps and wiring. They are a big favourite of BMW motorcyclists (where I first found out about them). I have never had a problem at MOT time with them either. Do a search online for more info but they are the most efficient halogen bulb on the market and the best you will get in halogen. They are one of the best kept secrets of the car lighting world. Other then that its HID time.

Such poor lighting from such a prestigious car, I had issues with the quality of light coming out of my head lights, So I did mine last week, replaced the bulbs with a HID Kit from HID4U, error free, i also replaced the w5w angel eye bulbs for even brighter items 12w 2A , giving a slightly brighter glow then the 12w 1.5A. Next is HID full beam,,,,

BMW its an addiction, Its a drug
