I was hoping somebody could help me with some strange problems I'm gettin with my first BMW, it's a 530d e60 2003. I've had it about 2 weeks and have noticed some strange issues. Basically it randomly throws up some faults, which include fuel pump, transmission, dynamic steering. They only happen now and then and only ever when I'm about to start it. If I leave it for a few moments they seem to go away and the car runs great, they never pop up when it's running.
I have noticed it seem to happen after rain or a wash. I took it to a garage who hooked it up and said it had glow plugs faults 1 to 6 which they cleared. The cars basically been running fine apart from when the faults show up it won't start, either wont even try or just turns the started but won't start the engine.
I think it was just recalled before I got it for a new intelligent battery sensor lead. Before I leave it to the shop and pay a fortune in diagnostics I was wondering does this sound like a bit of water getting in somewhere and if so where should I look?
If anyone has any ideas I'd be really great full.
Apart from all of that the garage said its so quick they thinks its mapped hard, and said that the map may be throwing up the faults. Nightmare, have no clue what to do next!!
