    Hey all

Just in the middle of buying a 323ciE46 coupe which is a 1999 on a v with old style triangle (e36) multi function steering wheel.

I wanted to know if it was possible to upgrade to the later type multifunction wheel found on the 02 plate onwards?

If anyone could do a guide or any information on this it would be greatly appreciated

    Regards Mark

As far as I am aware that are 2 different airbags! The triangle one is a single stage fire and the newer shape is a dual stage. So it's not just a plug and play! You have to make a couple of changes to the loom.

There is some info on the net if you do a search for the retrofit. There are plenty of people that have done it...

    Hope that helps.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

I'll tell you one thing, if you go ahead and do this and want to sell your old wheel (for a reasonable price) I'll probably take it
