Did they notice anything with the module? Was it water damage or had it just failed? be good to know for future reference

And good to hear it's fixed, apart from the cost which is always a bad thing

I have found this chain of forum posts from a few years ago which describes my exact problem. Has anybody found a cure to this problem since without the expensive repair?

The fault occurred as I tried to open the rear door prior to my wife pressing the dashboard unlock button. Then when we had for out of the car and pressed the keyfob lock button the rear door made a nasty locking sound.

The drivers door opens with the key only. The keyfob opens the boot only and when the doors are locked the open button also lights up the internal lights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tony

hi guys, just been reading this thread about gm5 module faults and their is a repair service available for this on ebay. apparently two of the relays inside the module fail just need to get hold of the relays and solder the new ones in. might be alot cheaper then getting the main dealer involved.
