    Hi folks,

I have a 330d E46. I got a headlight bulb warning come up so I changed the bulb (halogen). This didn't solve the problem. After a bit of fiddling and swapping thing around I found the problem to be this

    carpart.jpg

I found a part number of 63 12 8 380 206 with a description of dipped beam h7 bulb socket. However I can only get results back from US sites. I have tried it on some UK parts sites and got no results.

Any suggestions on where I can get one from without having to pay through the nose

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks I'll give them a go. I was expecting main dealers to be expensive even though its just a bit of plastic. There's an L&C quite near me so I'll pop in after work tomorrow.

    Thanks again

i just had exactly the same problem with that but the high beam one. it was one of the prongs was corroded (the ones that slot into the pins in the wiring plug). i got a small piece of sandpaper, and sanded the 2 prongs, then gave them a squirt with wd40, and then a bit of wd40 in the 2 pins of the wiring plug to, and its been fine since. might be worth checking yours before buying new

The two prongs were a little corroded. I tried to clean them off but I could have done a better job and I didn't do inside the female connector. I'll give them both a better clean before parting with my hard earned

    thanks guys.
