hi guys, i've searched all over the net and tried everything possible but no luck,

problem started out from swapping out xenon headlights but forgotten to change over the switch, needless to say the switch got damaged, the brake lights been on since then, its not fuse no:9, its not brake switch, not broken wire, we replaced the light switch yesterday and all lights working fine, this morning, drove the car out and a few minutes after driving the brake lights came on again and stuck on since, tried everything again as before, no luck, switches all work fine in another e46, everything works in another car but not this car, could someone please shine some lights please.

    thanks

p.s. the brake lights will comes on with or without starting engine, it comes on right when you hear a click around the brake master cylinder

mine was the same and it was the switch.
they work backwards to most brake light switches.
most you press the switch and the lights turn on.
mine you release the switch and the lights come on.

Is that some sort of magnetic switch ? Had a closer look at it today and could figure out how to remove it.
