Hi All - Last weekend I fitted a new interior in my E46 Touring and now the red airbag light is on. I've checked all the plugs etc and they are fitted correctly into the new seats so not sure what has caused the warning light to come on.

I'm assuming the sensor or something needs to be rest so would anyone be able to help me with this please? I live near Kimbolton which is Cambridgeshire but also very close to. Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

    Thanks guys.

    Sam

Just replied to this on the zone,

So a little copy and past......

I had the same problem, you could try and get the light reset but i think its the ocupancy sensor for the passenger seat.

your going to need one of them below for the passenger seat, its an easy fix and should take about 20 mins, i removed my passenger seat to do mine........

dont forget to disconect the battery 1st

I have a barn in Burbage near Hungerford and have a spare ocupancy sensor if you want it, could even fit it as well....

I don't have a BMW, yet, but our vans need to go to main stealer for ECU update whenever seats are changed. Also, many of the "airbag" wanings arte actually seats and seat belts too, something as simple as a seatbelt not fully retracted can give airbag warning
