    2002.. Uk.
    330ci coupe..

    Cars got self levelling headlights..
Drivers side works, but passenger side doesn't..
Where's best place to start looking for fault?

Do both lights work off same sensor?

    Thanks..

If they are xenons the dipped light will look different to the high beam as they'll have projectors fitted, with no projectors it won't be fitted with auto levellers but you'll have a manual adjust adjacent to the headlight on/off switch... sounds to me as if one of the adjuster motors has failed

    Right..
    Car does have self levelling..
On start up, drivers side light goes up and down.. Passenger side doesn't move.
    No level adjustment inside car.

If you have self levelling then you must have xenons (have you checked the lights?)...the sensor for them is on the wishbones and adjusts the headlights to suit the load of the car.
Each headlight has its own motor so if ones working and the other not its more likely to be a motor fault or wiring to the motor, best thing to check is if you're getting voltage to the motor.

Not checked anything yet, try to find out best place to start..
Is it one sensor on wishbone, or one on each side?
Got that to fix, and then leaking headlight washers..

I don't have xenons but an adjuster inside. At switch on (ignition) the motors drive up and down to test the motors I think. The motors are mounted between the lights (dip and main beam) but you will have to take the light unit apart to get to it.
    Hope this is some help.
