I`ve owned my car for about 4 years with no problems.
I used the car today at 1pm for about 10 mins no problems, then at 3pm wanted to go to the shops and the car would not start:
-car wont start up
-engine turns over not firing
-tried numerous times does not start at all.
I read the ECU code via INPA and the following codes came up:
- 1028 egr control (maybe caused by the EGR blank plate)
- 13573 glow device
- 2550 rail pressure control at start.
- 4704 presupply pressure monitoring
I called the RAC (may aswell use them as ive got them with my insurance)
Guy came and plugged in his laptop to my car, with the following codes found and report:
- 09F6 rail pressure monitoring: rail pressure too low during start
- 126- delivery pump control system
Checked fuel pressure in live data - no pressure very low flow out of fuel filter.
He asked me to turn ignition on and off whilst he listened near the fuel tank for the pump, and we could hear it activated when the ignition was on, and off when ignition was off.
He sprayed oil into the air intake and car sounded like it was about to start up.
Any ideas on the issue, I need the car back on the road asap?
any advice and help would be really appreciated?
