    Hi guys,

I am having a problem with my passenger side window, when you open the door on the E46 Coupe its normal for the window to dip down a tiny bit, however the passenger side is doing this multiple times.. i.e. you open the door, the window dips and then goes back up and keeps doing this until you shut the door..

Any ideas? I think I might be the switch that is faulty? Does anyone know where this is placed in the door?

    Thank you..

It should be incorporated in the striker latch

Cheers for your response Ronnie, is the striker latch the one on the end of the door or on the hinge side?

Sorry, just had a look and it appears the sensor is built in with the latch

It's built in with #1 in the link above, try resetting the window first, put the window down and then hold that button down for 30 seconds, then it should be programmed and give it a try, if it still does it then it will most likely need #1 in that link, you will be able to have the ECU read that controls the door locks e.t.c to be sure, any good BMW specialist or main dealer will be able to do that for you
