Every now and then when I turn my car on it will report that one of the lights has failed, but if I cycle through all the lights i.e. turn on the indicators, headlights and brake lights the warnings go away.

Also every now and then when I turn the engine off the oil light comes on yellow, but goes away as soon as I turn it back on and then doesn't come back on if I turn it off again. I suspect the problem is electrical and something is confusing the sensors, anyone know what the problem might be?

    Thanks,
    neg

You have a bad earth on one of the bulbs, just remove them and clean the base of them and see then.

As for the Oil light. I had that but was pretty much due for Oil service. Got that done and hasn't been on since (Bordering 500 miles since). Perhaps your oil is too thin and causing the level to show lower than it actually is.
