    Hi all

    Been trying to fit some angel eye LED rings to my E46 saloon this weekend and want to wire them in as DRL's. I've read all the 'how-to's' I can find and I'm getting stuck on one bit, where to wire the trigger wire in the control box. I know I have to find an accessory wire and all the pictures that I have found online have a small switch that my control box doesn't seem to have. Mine also seems to have a few wires that aren't actually connected and have been blanked off by BMW on production. Below I have posted pictures of my box and the box on these 'how-to's'. Can someone confirm that my box is still fine and isn't missing anything, and if anyone could let me know what I should be connecting my trigger to, to get them to operate correctly as DRL's.

    My control box;

    Again here showing the grey switch box I seem to be missing

    This is what I keep finding on the 'how-to's';

    The small grey terminal box at the bottom is what I am looking for because this apparently contains the red/white (also heard red/white with yellow tracers) wire that I connect the trigger to?

    Any help will be massively appreciated!

    James

    If you have NCS and the Angel Eyes are wired to the sidelights you might be able to reprogram the vehicle to switch on the sidelights as DRL. I've seen it documented as an option.

    Bit too in depth for me to be honest mate, with the whole re-programming of the car. I'd really be comfortable just know which of the wires in my picture are the accessory cables for a component within the cabin so that the lights are activated with two turns of the key.

    All you'd need to do is just wire it into the the ignition level (so not when you put the key in, not the one where the radio comes on, the one after that the dash lights up).
    Let me have a look at a few wiring diagrams...

    EDIT: I'm sure the Cig lighter is one
