When I bought my 2001 330Ci it already had genuine M3 mirrors fitted and the button on the mirror adjustment is there for them however they have never worked. Never thought to ask the previous owner at the time.

I've read a few threads about the difference between 12 and 6 pin connectors and also some which suggest that I need a separate module to activate them.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get them working and how easy a fix this is?

    Thanks

Owner probably replaced his folding mirrors with non-folding ones most likely.

No, he's replaced them with the OEM M3 power mirrors as I can see the motor inside the mirror housing. Just wondering if its a simple issue of wiring it up or if it needs some kind of module?

Has anyone replaced their e46 mirrors with the M3 Autofold and what did you do?

I might be out of my depth a bit here as I knowing nothing about the E46 however having retro-fitted folding mirrors to my E38 I do know that the mirror modules need coding to work or you will need the original modules that were on the car that the folding mirrors came from as they match.
