I've just had all my interior bulbs replaced with LEDs and the difference is awesome!

Only downside is that the front reading lights are not working, the guy who fitted the LEDs wasn't sure why, the LEDs are definitely fine as we tested them separately but it seems both the front reading lights (lights either side of the main front interior light) do not work.

Anyone know why this might be? It looks like the left side is powered by the brown and red/yellow cables that come into the light unit, i tested these with a multimeter and there was no power so my best guess is the problem is elsewhere. We checked the fusebox for light-related fuses and they all seemed ok.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!

Does it work if you put a standard bulb in there?

If so put a resistor in parallel with the led. It might think the resistance is too high so the bulb must be blown

No, doesn't work with standard bulbs. Unfortunately I don't know if it worked before the leds were put in because we didn't test, but I've never tried to use those lights. I am fairly sure there is no power going to them through the connector.

Check all the fuses with a multimeter for continuity.

Which ones? Just in the glovebox or elsewhere too? I'm not sure what other places have fuses, there are some in the boot but the fuse panel only has about 4 or 5 fuses in it there

All the fuses in the glovebox look fine, I'm not sure about the fuse panel by the battery in the boot though..
