Wife's 1999 530d has had an intermittent problem for some time. Mainly that the boot electrical unlock mechanism wouldn't work, and sometimes the rear door central locking would also fail. But, as I said, it was only sometimes and has been ok for ages. Until today...
Now the boot, rear doors and fuel cover release will not operate. The rear door lock buttons are stuck down and although operating the handle will raise the button, the door can not be opened. I have a key that can open the boot, and I've found the fuel cover release pull handle thing.
Front doors, interior/courtesy lights, and all electric windows are ok.
Haven't yet checked the fuses but due to the previous intermittent nature, can that be caused by a fuse?!
So, are these the symptoms of a failed GM3?
Thanks for any comments.
