    Hi all,

This is my first post so be gentle! I've had a look on the forums and see that this seems to be a common issue but I'm hoping someone can simplify the process of getting it sorted! I recently bought a '97 318is coupe which has an Alpine headunit and 6 CD changer. There is no FM reception (haven't checked AM) and the guy who sold it did mention it only recently stopped working.

So, what do I need to do in a step by step manner? It seems I firstly need to buy a booster but I don't know what to get, where to get it and how/where to fit it etc.

    Thanks,

    GK

Have you pulled the radio out to check that the antenna is properly plugged in and hasn't come loose? If you havn't done already i would start there.

aggreed that would be my first port of call it may be you might need yo buy an adaptor for the arieal if its a different fitting
There's an alternative. There's always a third way, and it's not a combination of the other two ways. It's a different way

I see you've made you're decision now lets see you enforce it.
