Hi all, i have a 96 728 e38 rhd , i live in spain and have just put it through the spainish MOT. i switched the hi beam lights from rhd to lhd. but when i put it through the pits the tester told me i have to do the outer lights as well. i cant find any switch inside them to turn. as in the low beam lamps. is this true, i cant see why the innner lamps will turn and not the outer. any help would be good. many thanks.

....... The main beams can be adjusted quite easily so that they "aim" in the direction required, while the dipped beam pattern I'm guessing is the one they aren't happy with, It has a "kick up" that would illuminate the left hand side of the road/pavement in the UK, which would dazzle the Spanish, Am I on the right track?

This is how they should be in Spain.....
    .

    And the UK.........

Hi Ronnie, thanks for the reply.you are on the right track, i had no trouble with the high beam, they sell universal plastic disks that you fit over the lenses of the lamp, but they don't look like they will fit on the e38 lamps,is there a way to adjust them to lhd, or will i have to buy new lights, the car wont be going back to the uk and will be imported into spain. cheers

Are they Bosch headlamps? If so I believe they can be stripped down and the lens can be moved to solve the problem
