Pin 20, of the X16 connector behind instrument cluster.
Pin 47 on the DME.
I'm not sure on any colors, as the wiring diagrams I have don't have diagrams for a TDS, so i'm using the M52 diagrams - The pin positions should still be the same.
can you identify what pins 23 and 24 supply on the x 16 conenector ?
and pins 4, 5 and 19 on the blue instrument cluster connector ?
(I am in very near final stages of engine and wiring transplant into a classic car- scary stuff but engine now starting fine with a screwdriver ready to clone onto classic car ignition switch!)
X16:
Pin 23, is an input, Voltage supply, terminal 15 for indicator and warning lamps
Pin 24, is a ground, Ground supply, terminal 31 for instrument cluster electronics
X17:
Pin 4, is an input, Voltage supply, terminal 15 for instrument cluster electronics
Pin 5, is an input, Voltage supply, terminal 15 for battery charge indicator
Pin 19, is an input, Oil pressure warning lamp control
A1 thanks - now down to 2 fuses only all other wires gone.! I have id`d the battery charge indicator, rev sender, and then removed all remaining instrument wiring, just the wires from the ignition remaining, accelerator loom, EWS and ignition sensor ring/ key taped up in a bundle. ! all done ! engine out next week.
many thanks for help
