I have had three second hand motors for my 35 convertible (drivers side) and they have all gone at different times but they just seem to have seized/jammed. I have opened one but nothing obvious. Is there anything I can do or is it just throw them away and buy another second hand one? Thanks

I have found a post elsewhere suggesting hitting the motor which I have done with a rubber mallet to all three with no joy!!

I found a post on the bmw mini forum about electric windows and basically if you clean up the armature then the motors should work...and they do
