hi there , im back again in a new thread with better info . my wee compact's ignition is stuck in position 1 when the key is removed and car is locked . i stripped down the cowling and removed the ignition switch from the back of the barrel . now , i tested the barrel and all is well on that front , the key turns as it should and the barrel operates as its supposed to . the switch is another story , i can use a screwdriver to get from rest position to starting the car and turning off . but again the interior clocks and mileometre are still illuminated when they should be off . my guess is the switch itself is foooked (and stuck
in position 1). any1 know if this is a common issue or had a similar problem ? easy or hard to replace ? expensive to buy or liberate 1 or 3 from my local friendly scrapyard to try ...

    what ya think? cheers folks

Scotchlocks usually live in social groups, expect to find a few more hiding about behind the dash!
