hey, im just wondering is there anyway to convert my manual soft top to full electric one? its not a major problem that its manual just thinking as a possible mod. Just want to know really...

    1. Is it a big job?
    2. Is there a after market kit available
    3. Is it worth doing cost wise?

    Thanks in advance

I would think maybe a new roof or if not the front part that releases the roof from the car.

As i dont think you have all the elec comps in the main part of your roof as the full elec roof releases from the car via microswitches and motors to get it passed the pinch point and yours is a turn and release handle.

And i maybe correct in saying that the man and full auto roof will have a different control unit, the motors in the boot should be the same.

I spoke with an indy bwm garage sometime ago to try and convert my auto roof to a manu (was pissed with all the issues, now fixed for now anyway), and they told me it was to much work, i dont think it will be a easy convert if you get my meaning.

    Good luck with it tho
