    Sorry to be a pain again. Ive just bought my car round to have a look.
    Can you post pics of the new lights so i can compare?
    Im im my boot with my laptop having a look for you mate
    Its just that the main loom plugs into the rear of the lamp and there are no wires to the standard lamp, the bulb holders are being supplied the power by metal strips
    Just want to see the standard lights you are fitting

    Right,
    Looking at your pics, unplug the connector and disgard the wire with the yellow leccy tape on.
    The male part of the connector that is left should just plug directly into the black rectangle shape in the rear of the lamp where the metal pins are
    There is a cutout in the rear so the connector so it will only go into the light one way

    I just took these pics to try and show you but me phone camera is crap.

    The standard lights are exactly the same
    2 mins and there will be a couple more pics.

    ah ok mate.. i see what you are saying..so the bulbholders take the current from the plate, and not directly to the backs of the bulbholders?

    Spot on. You getting there. No wires in the standard lights, the bulb holders have contacts on them
