I'm planning on fitting an E36 aerial amplifier in my E30. I have the box and the aerial cable.
I'm guessing that the 2 short black cables that come out of top of the box close together (marked "AM/FM antenne") are the ones that go to the terminals on the rear screen.
There is third black cable in the top of the unit which is marked "heizung". I've already worked-out that this is German for "heating", so this is for the feed from the HRW switch, yes?
On the bottom of the unit, there is a male spade terminal, the aerial lead (I know what to do with that one!), and a brown push-in connector with a short length of white cable attached. What do I need to connect to these please? It also has a metal mounting lug, so my assumption with this is that it needs to be bolted to the vehicle body so that it earths.
The unit is marked with the BMW part number 65 24 1 387 751. It came from a '96 328i 4-door.
Sorry if this sounds like I don't know what I'm doing, but it wasn't me who removed the unit from the E36. Once I know for certain which cable connects to what, I'll be fine. I've tried looking for an appropriate wiring diagram with no luck.
