Well guys I've had some trouble recently with my OBC and the outside temp feature, it was constantly triggering the gong under the dash!
I managed to trace this to a bad earth connection! So Solved that!

But now when I turn on my headlights, it seems to reset the temperature on the OBC to -37degrees?

Once the lights are on the temp starts to rise again, but turn the lights off and then on again and it resets?? Anyone any idea what's causing this?

If I turn JUST the sidelights on, it doesnt reset the temp by the way... and it may have been doing it before I earthed the connections I just wasn't able to tell as the temp would never rise

    Any help appreciated! Thanks guys

The sensor is earthed behind the glove box (not sure if it's meant to be earthed there but it's been retrofitted) it's earthed to an earth connection on its own though, i re-earthed it on its own as i thought it might be that but didnt fix it!

    Where did you re-earth ?
What i'd try, is earthing it as close to the sensor as possible. Somewhere close to the ducting in the engine bay.

Failing that, I would think it's maybe a bad OBC. Are you able to try another to rule that out ?

I re-earthed it on a screw behind the glove box (on the left hand side of the car). May be just a bad OBC! Will try source another

But the wiring might be bad where it comes into the car.... Try earthing in the engine bay.
