Ive just bought a 325td to replace my 325tds which has failed its MOT.

the tds has the 18 button OBC, vanity lights, and lots of other little bits that the TD doesnt. is it just a matter of pulling out the dash and fitting all the tds stuff?

how hard a job would it be?

Search through the guides forum for several step-by-step guides on how to wire in an 18 button OBC. There is a fair bit of wiring to do.

Never done it and can't say I've every heard of anyone doing it. Wiring-wise it'll probably be quite simple as there are few wires, problem will be getting the trim back in one piece. If you have a donor car you can afford to strip it out and learn from that.

But it doesn't all have to be done at once for the 18 button OBC.

One day, you could wire up with temp... Then the next day go onto something else. Not as bad as you think !

The hardest part is if your new car doesn't have Check Control (For what it's worth, I would probably leave it off the car)

If your doing the FULL OBC, then you'll need Check Control sir !

It's trivial for now... Get the rest of the OBC working first !
