Hi. Just gotround to installing an 18 button OBC into my 1996 328 cabrio. I followed the guide i found on here and everything went very smoothly and everything worked except the check control Searching on here i found out about EINHEIT codes and after copying someone else's codes (B3 and FF) check control worked
The problem is I did all this with the roof down to give myself more space. When I went to put the car away I put the roof up and tried to shut the windows, but they won't work. One-touch up and down won't work on either front window, the rear driver's side window will not move at all (even when using the key in the door lock from the outside) the other three will only move approx one inch at a time then you have to press the button again to move another inch etc. etc. I'm just glad I've got a garage to put the car in so I'm not leaving it on the street with a window down.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm going to check the fuses in the morning when it's daylight again, but i'm worried i may have wired something wrong? Does the ZKE IV MODULE have anything to do with the windows? If so i'll check all the plugs are re-conected properly too.
    Any help is much apreciated

OK, been out this morning and sorted the windows. The yellow connector on the ZKE module has no cover. The wires are all there in a connector, but the yellow cover which locks it in place is missing, can I get another one from a dealer? If so does anyone have a part number?
Now I sorted this I noticed that when I start the engine there's a warning light on that I presume is for the air-bags? It looks like a red man sat wearing a seatbelt with a big red dot in front of his face. This stays on for exactly 2 minutes at a time then goes off. Does this mean I have a problem with the air-bags? If so is the problem correcting itself after 2 minutes when the light goes off?

That is the airbag light and it shouldn't stay on for that long, 2 minutes is well too long! Should flash up when you turn the ignition on and start it and then be on for about 4 seconds max.

I will have a llok for the plug

Been out tonight and the airbag warning light is still coming on for exactly 2 minutes. But when the light goes out does that mean everythings ok again? Is there a way or re-setting the light?
Also when I got home tonight the drivers side door wouldn't open. When I drive for a few seconds the doors lock on their own, but now the driver's door won't unlock. If I use the passenger door first then the doors unlock, but nothing with the driver's side. Is this all related or just a coincidence? Can the auto-locking be turned off?

There's no way of resetting the light, you will need to have the codes read, It's not correct for it to stay on for that long, but I'm damned if I can come up with a answer at the moment

I've re-checked all my wiring and everything's fine. I can go get the airbag light checked and re-set at a local garage so I'm not too concerned about that now (as long as the airbags are working when the light goes off again?)

But the drivers door is really bugging me. What can I check in the door itself? Wiring or some sort of actuator? Can anyone help me know what to look for and where?
