Made an error transpalnting the engine into another vehicle and failed to record which ECU wire supplied the tacho. It is an e36 tds, all of the ecu wires are present, but only those necessary to run the engine remain connected (not an easy task !). I am now working out how to run a signal to another tachometer-so am trying to identify either the ecu revs signal wire colour, or the corresponding number on the big multiplug loom connector mounted on the fusebox body. It was the earlier TDS with the alloy inlet manifold..... absolutely no idea how to identify it, being a total diy er who did not use wiring diags to remove and relocate the engine using plodding logic only and trial and error....so any help VERY welcome !
