I've had to purchase an immobiliser and was advised by an auto electrician and a mechanic that if i gave my chassis number when ordering it would come in programmed to my vehicle.

I tried this and bmw refused and insisted that they needed to have the car in to programme it. At £131 an hour i didn't want to use them if it could be avoided! I then asked the mechanic im using to order it in for me, which he did and they confirmed with him it would be programmed to the vehicle.

It came and didn't work. Guess What, it wasn't programmed! BMW has again advised they have to have it in their workshop to programme it. I have put it in there today as i don't seem to have any other choice.

Does anyone know if it can be ordered programmed to your vehicle? Im sure their ripping me off.

EWS system has to be coded to your car. So BMW will require your car to program the necessary information to the ZKE module, LCM, etc.
