On quite a lot of forums I've used in the past, they have been full of people asking about problems when their engine warning light comes on or any other set of lights on the dash, we all know the answer is to get the fault codes read first as the car will tell you quickly what the problem is, this can save time and worry/stress. I'm no expert but I do now have my diagnostic cable and copy of INPA and if people in my area want me to read their fault codes free of change (or a £5 if you are rich and generous) I'll be happy to hook up your car and let you know what the computer says. I've only got an ODB2 interface cable so that's the offer for 2000 reg cars and later. I'm not insured and not an expert so fault code reading is done at your own risk (although never had a problem on any of my cars).
I'm located in Wiltshire (SN10) near Devizes if anyone needs help and you can PM me if you need assistanc.
Would anyone else with diagnostics kit like to help our fellow members with offers of assistance, put your details in posts below, location, kit and anything important.
P.s. if there is already a post for this, please delete and let me know where it is as I can't find it.
