    Hi,

This might sound quite stupid, I can't find the fuses for the cigarette lighter sockets.

My new company car is a 116d ed 5-door hatch (is this e87?) and the cigarette lighter socket has stopped working (i've only had the car two weeks). I've used it only for a Sat Nav charger but it suddenly stopped working.

From what I've read there should be two fuse boxes, one in the back and one in the glove box. The little card that shows which fuses are where and it shows this two fuse boxes and fuse (this was next to the rear fuse box).

I can't for the life of me work out how to get to the front one. The glove box looks like one big sealed plastic bucket and I can't see a way to remove it.

Can anyone shed any light on how I can check the fuse?

    No Ideas?

Can anyone tell me if this is different to the old one series glovebox?

Is the little card wrong or am I just being a muppet?

OK, Just popped into a local dealership. They were very helpful and showed me where the fuse box has moved to.

On the new one series it's under the bonnet. You have to remove a piece of trim:

Fuse 66 was blown. Once replaced power came back to the socket.

Not sure what caused it to blow but hopefully solved now.
