The problem with my X5 is that the Automatic Gearbox has electronicly stuck in driving position . It had airbag light on and we plugged Autocom diagnostic tool to erase the faults . Well we did that and light went off but after unplugging it it won't start. We plugged BMW scanner and from the immobiliser menu I can see that the starter is not enabled and the lever shows driving position. I can move the gear stick normally but even when I put it in parking position is still show that it is in driving and it won't start. A week ago the battery went flat and I had to give it a jump in order to start it , I don't know if that has anything to do with the current issue. The problem is that even with the BMW scanner I can't read the gearbox electronic module so I have no idea what went wrong . I really hope someone can help me out. Any opinions and suggestions are welcome.
    Thank you in advance.
