Hey guys I need somone to translate what the BMW TIS manual needs me to do...It requires me to switch off Terminals 15 and R and back on again to re-initialise a component...is this literally asking me to switch the ignition off and on again?

    Cheers.

I'm pretty sure terminal 15 is ignition on...to re-set a component turn ignition on then off and leave off for around 20 seconds then turn back on, re-set is done...... i'm not 100% on this but give it a go and hopefully will work.
Many more knowledgable on here will help you out if the above doesn't work.

Terminal R is the first position on the ignition switch (usually radio on and airbag light), terminal 15 is ignition (all lights on dash before cranking position Term 50) hope this helps..

I got a GT1 computer, so most of the instructions are on there - I believe the TIS manual has all of these instructions on how to do certain things... But thank you to all who explained the difference Mucho appreciated!
