    BMW E53 2001 - 4.4i M Sport - Electrical Problem

    Symptoms

    Random Electrical Warnings on Cluster
    CHECK FRONT FOGLIGHTS
    CHECK TAIL LIGHTS
    CHECK BRAKE LIGHTS

Also sometimes, when go to turn left Indicator on, clicks fine for first flash then flashes at high speed as if one of the lights is not working, which when checked it does not, however turn ignition off its fine.

The exact same happens for the Front Fog Lights.

The Screen also freezes and does not update the data, or sometimes even reboots itself.

Work fine, then when the warning light comes on it doesnt work.

Also the car has a misfire,

I have so far done the following

    1) Replaced with Brand New battery - No water in or around battery.
    2) Replaced all spark plugs

Is there something else that could be causing these electrical issues ?

I am at a loose end, as I have spent £500 in last few weeks trying to fix, and only last solution is to take it to a BMW Dealer, which may take hours and hours of diagnosis ans may not even be found.

I love the car, but in order to be happy it has to be right, otherwise I will have to sell as is with the problems.

    Thanks

    Tim

Bit of a long shot, but have you tried looking at the rubber connection where the tailgate wiring goes into the body. Many BMW models suffer with problems here and always gives random problems. Its not too easy to get at the wires inside but they often break due to flexing.
    Hope this is some help.
