Hi i am hoping somebody will be able to offer some advice, My BMW 528 1998 has interior lights that tirn themselves on and off while it is parked and while i am driving. Has anybody seen this before ? does anybody know what could be wrong or what i could do to find out. I have taken it to an auto electrician but he couldn't find what was wrong it didn't come up with any faults on the diagnostics. Can any one help. Thanks

My guess would either be a faulty or worn door switch sensor. Be worth checking the tailgate wiring also, knlwn to short out where it exits the body and goes into the tailgate.

Sent from my Sega Megadrive using electricity.

Previously I had same issue on my VW, It was faulty door switch which has got lots of water in after driving on motorway in rainy weather.
