    Hi Guys,

Been looking around for a while to find the source for a faulty alarm but can't find a reason that is close to why mine is now 'beeping'.

Note: It is not 'going off' but a loud short 'beep beep beep ....' sound is coming from the car.

This has only happened since a mechanic came out to jump start the car and popped the hood attached the positive to positive and the neg to somewhere on the chassis. He got it started again but now the alarm is not working properly.

Have tried setting the alarm and jumping around inside and tried opening the door but it won't go off now. Also I'm not too sure what needs changing if its the alarm box or sensor im not sure... I can't find the alarm box which is another thing..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First thing I would suggest is disconnect the battery for 2 mins and re connect.

Does the alarm make the noise all the time?

The sounder is located under the bonnet, near the wiper mechanism. I have yet to find an easy way to get to it. It also has it own battery, so can continue to sound after the main battery is disconnected. The alarm system is monitored by tilt sensor, ultrasonic detector (in the roof) and the doors etc via the GM5.

Any result on this, as I think I am experiencing what you are describing as well.

I can sometimes make it go off, but not always and it does sound like the full sounder is activating...
