Hi, I have a 2002 E46 316 se touring, i had it in the dealers last week for a warranty repair on the parking sensors, while it was in I asked if they could set the auto locking function when the car reaches 10/15 mph, they came back and said it could not be done on my car. Can anyone confirm what they are telling me as I don't believe them, it's in the handbook.

Yes it can be done. What was the reason from them as to why it couldn't be done?

I would get a second opinion. Maybe try a specialist that has Autologic or GT1 equipment .

Hi, I asked my local independent specialist to enable this for me, I had auto lock when driving, beep when keys are left in ignition, boot release opens boot instead of tailgate, beep once when put in reverse to signify reverse beepers are working and temperature display goes back to previous view after 3 seconds when warning about being cold. It cost me half hours labor (£15) when I was getting some other work done.

My car is a 2003 but when I had a pre face lift 2001 318i saloon it had auto lock on so I would think that it will be available on your 2002 model.

Thanks guy's for reply's, I didn't think that it could not be done, They are owned by Arnold Clark but operate under another name so I suppose it's expected from them, tried to get a dosh out of me for checking the handbarake (£97) .Warranty work usually has it's add on's. I won't be back
