    Hi Guys

I have a BMW 318IS, I have a problem with the air con unit/heating. It wont come on at all until the engine is warm (the dial has to be in the middle), The panel is totally blank and you cant do anything with it, eventually the lights come on but you still cant do anything until it fully comes on.

When its on its fine, air con works fine as does the heating. Any ideas? Need the heating now its getting cold!

    Thanks in advance.

That's probably a faulty panel, caused by a little tantalum capacitor on the circuit board.
You can repair yourself if you can solder, or find places that will repair your unit if you send it to them.
