    air bag warning light just come on,is this going to be a costly thing to sort ?????

    Usually the occupancy sensor under the passenger seat. You can check with diagnostics if you have access to something.
    Assuming so, two choices:

    replace the sensor mat in the seat. PITA. Remove seat, dismantle, strip covering, fit new (fragile) sensor mat, rebuild seat, refit seat.

    buy about 90p worth of components from Maplin and make a replacement that tells the car that the seat is occupied. The only downside is that if you had an accident, the airbag would fire when it might not have needed to. Would you care? Look on the forum or PM me for the bits/circuit.
