    Hi all,

Hopefully one of you kind souls will be able to assist, have 2000 750 V12 with a passenger electric window with a mind of its own. It will go down fine and then when it goes to come back up its fine but when it gets to the top it goes straight back down again. If you hold your finger on the switch then it doesnt do it but as soon as you let your finger off it drops again.

Am thinking control unit or similar any tests I can do myself to try and diagnose this?

Any help will be greatly appreciatted

Sounds like a fault in the anti-trap system.

Basically it is a 'switch' built into the top strip of the door rubber that is designed to make the window drop immediately if an obstruction is present (fingers for example) when it's closing.

Diagnostics might show a fault but if not I would start with a new switch.

Yeah, sounds like the sort of thing it could be.

Is it quite an obvious switch ?
