    Hi all

I have a BMW 318ci 2002 (102,000) very clean and looked after by both 2 previous owners

Im having a problem with the car where as Ill drive it one day for 40 mins non stop , them another day ill drive 20 miles stop for an hour or so and go to drive home and it will stall (lights all come on dash) and won't start for upto 30 mins?? Then will restart and run for 5 minutes or so and it will stop again ???

So far change throttle body , fuel pump and relay.

Had a cheapo obd tester and it cam up with camshaft sensor a and b and a new one crankshaft sensor pos b ?

Cleared faults and still won't start till I've left it for around 30 mins ??? (no dashboard lights on engine one etc)

Seems to be worse to a warm day ie last Sunday 20 degrees made the same trip twice in 2 weeks and broke down in exactly the same place ?!! (weird)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

As I've been eying up skodas !

have you changed the crank sensor? i would also get setup with BMW INPA diags instead of a generic OBD scanner its far better and BMW specific can get setup for buttons...around 7 quid with a modified vagcom cable and a laptop...
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

I'd go with crank sensor here.

You can get the sensor from BMW, or maybe eurocarparts, GSF car parts etc.

It shouldn't be a hard job to change, but I couldn't tell you if it'd be at the front or the rear of the engine.
