I bought a e36 318 m44 off my friend who tried to jump it with a 24v pack,
The car wouldnt crank so i ran a wire between the 2 12v wires in the ews box, which allowed my to crank the car,but there was no fuel/spark so i assume the ecu is blowen, there is no fuses/relays blowen either.

I came across a ecu,ews box and keys out of another 318(all the same car) is it just a matter of swapping thses over or is there need to reprograme these ,

can i just put in the new ecu and ews box, or do i need to change chips in the key also??

Change the chip in the key too, once you open the key, you'll see it.
