I have a late 2010 325d SE Saloon (E90?) with halogen headlights. I don't like the yellow angel eyes but upgrading these has left me totally confused. I have talked to 3 vendors of upgrades and have got 3 different stories.
I have two question that I hope that some kind soul can help me with:

    1. Can I upgrade these yellow looking angel eyes to being LED powered - and without getting error messages from the car's brain?

    2. Is it possible to configure the lights so that the angel eyes come on when I turn on the ignition/start the engine.

    Cheers, JohnK.

In my E92 there is an option in the instrument cluster menu to set them to come on with the ignition.

Most people recommend avoiding replacing with LED's but there are 'whiter' standard bulb options that work well.

Do you have halogen lights with no xenons? Or xenon headlights with halogen angel eyes? If you have just halogen lights and want angel eyes the only option is to replace the headlamp unit with pre built angels(check my previous threads) or if you do have factory fitted angel eyes yes you can get an upgrade kit but they do give a lot of errors and you would have to find a way to stop the error codes flashing up maybe connect a resistor to the harness etc. Yes i have heard that you can have the angels turn on when the engine starts but I believe that it can only be done through diagnostic tools.
