Hi, hope someone can offer some advice

MY2008 1 series, use the fob to unlock car - windows dont drop when you open either door though - doesn't particularly cause a problem, but would like it to work correctly.

If in car with engine running and you put window down - you have to edge the window up when its near the top to create a seal again - if you go to far it drops itself down about 5 cms and you have to start again.

From memory my old man had a jag with the same problem, and you basically did a sequence on the key fob/window button to correct itself

Any suggestions ? Anyone else had this ?

    Cheers

Maybe you should talk to the dealer as you are still in warranty if you think it's wrong.

Car still under warranty, was hoping for a quick fix as dealer is 20 miles away and I can only do on a Saturday morning

Oh well - a quick phonecall cant hurt

    Thanks

Have you tried holding the window button up for 20 seconds with the ignition on after the window has closed?

Phoned dealer, said windows had gone out of sync.

Start car, easier to keep your finger on the button at all times :

    1) put windows down and hold button in for 10 secs
    2) put windows up and hold button up for 10 secs
    3)stop the car
4)your windows should drop as you open the door - and it did, voila
