I am about to pick up my new to me 325d M Sport. Got a cracking trade in deal on my 130i and needed the extra space and economy so went for it.

It is fitted with the "Professional" radio head unit. It has the multi function steering wheel. As it is a "Professional" unit will it automatically be bluetooth compatible or is the bluetooth option (and the USB interface upgrade) extras on top?

Any easy way of upgrading or is it mega-bucks?

The sport models with Professional head units come with activated blue tooth prep . USB is an option.

Thanks for that. I haven't read (or got) the manual yet but did activate the Bluetooth on my iPhone whilst I was playing with the stereo pre test drive and picked nothing up. I also found no mention of Bluetooth on any of the stereo's menus.

What did I miss? How do you pair the two?

    Cheers

I can't find this info anywhere else Neal. Is this 100%? I haven't picked the car up yet and there is no way of changing it now but it would be good to know. Plus I don't want to get frustrated trying to pair my phone with it when it isn't physically possible!

Oh well. Picked up the car this morning. Enabled bluetooth on my phone and started the car. My phone picked up nothing. It would appear my E90 57 plate 325d M Sport with professional radio missed the Bluetooth install!!!

Unless I am doing something wrong!!

You need to pair your phone with the car first. Also, lift the boot carpet up and see if you have a module similar to this...

Alas no module under the boot carpet. Looks like I shat out!

    Is the Bluetooth conversion expensive?

Looks like you have bluetooth prep (you must have a shark fin as all sport models come with one) but seems like an option to activate it now. Correct?

Called my local dealer and he confirmed my 325d M Sport does not have bluetooth enabled! Lack of boot module and no Shark fin on the roof confirm this. It would seem not all M Sports have it :-(

Thanks for the help and advice anyway Neal. I still love the car!
