120d 3 door, 14000 miles on a 57 plate. First winter for my car and the windows dont like low temperatures. Started with an icy morning where the window did not do its small drop trick on opening. Straight to Google at work after seeing the dreaded warning flash up. Reset window - everything fine. I obviously annoyed it or breached the 'how dare you attempt to fix the problem yourself' prime directive. Two weeks later this morning, and it was only 2 degrees, the anti trap warning came on again and the power switch for the passenger window, both sides, failed. Off to the dealers on Saturday. Their first reaction on phoning them which obviously comes from the - say this to the customer to assure them - well thats the first time I have heard of that happening Sir. Aye, right, well try looking at the forums. I suspect a software upgrade will help but has any else seen this combination of anti trap and window switch failure.

I've retitled your thread to follow forum rules which can be viewed here

Like suggested, do you not have a warranty for it still?

Yep it is still under warranty and there will be no cost to me. My worry is that this intermittent fault - yes the windows worked this morning - will not be fully cured and may start again outside the warranty period. I would hate to think that the electrics will play up , although they can never be as bad as my first car, an Alfasud ti (electrics by Gremlins inc). I will report back what the dealer says.
