    Hi Guys,

I just wondered if anyone has installed these kits you see on the net. As i read up on it the kit once installed removes the full beam option.

Is this a concearn, or cause problems to anyone etc..... Is the kit so good that the option of full beam is not really needed?

I have just started to look at some modifications to my 320m sport.

Can you have angel eye upgrade for round about the same price of £100, if so does this enable you to have full beam?

Few questions i know, i am curious :-)

    Thanks
    Paul

The problem with the non-Xenon E90 headlights is that they are reflector headlights. Installing a Xenon-Conversion with the standard headlights on an E90 is likely to give a scattered beam and produce a significant amount of glare. There are reflector-specific aftermarket xenon bulbs, however ideally you want projector headlights.

From what I've heard, xenon conversions on the E90 aren't the easiest, they're also likely to give warnings on the dash unless you get a more expensive conversion kit.

You can get complete headlight aftermarket kits, eBay will have these, but it could be worth checking out www.mstyle.co.uk and seeing what they have on there.

I installed the kit to my e90 and to be honest it was a pig. The reason was because of the footwell module (thanks to NealP for the advice on that one) i managed to get the HID kit out of the car before any damage was done. I would be very suspicious of the error free HID kits on ebay as i had one and it was a disaster.

The angel eye upgrade seems to be an expensive one to be honest have been looking at this my self but most places seem to be in the region of £300 and i dont think its worth that for lights but the facelift E90 does have angel eyes for the halogen headlamp so could be worthwhile trying that or check the scrapyards. My local scrappy is meant to ring me the second they have a LCI E90 in cause im having the lights haha.

I purchased the HID kit i have now off the internet and unfortunantly joe is right you have to go to the more expensive kits to keep the errors away. My kit cost me £160 but it does make some difference and i have it fitted over 3 months now without a problem.

In my experience it just seems to be the cheap chinese copy kits that cause problems
