I own a 56 plate 320d msport, which does not have the autolights switch in it..Is it possible to fit the auto lights switch and will the car need reprogramming...such as the keyfob and the car memory..

Bit more than just a light switch. You would also need a light level sensor built into the interior mirror, which is stuck on the windscreen together with the rain sensor. Tbh, I'm not sure there is a retro kit available.

To be honest..there is no point even having auto headlights. I never use mine!! IMO the sensor is not sensitive enough, I switch them on when it gets slightly dark, on auto they seem to switch on much later!! I like to be in control of when I want the headlights to be on and when I want them to be off, I dont like a sensor deciding for me. Thats just my 2 pennies worth

I have a similiar issue with my auto wipers...Whats the point of having auto wipers when everytime you sit in the car, you need to click it into the auto position for them to work? I thought auto wipers should be able to stay in the auto position all the time and operate on its own whenever needed! The only thing I like about auto wipers is the fact that it stops when the rain stops and slows down when you come to a stop, thats about it!

For the amount of modification required, auto headlights is not worth the hassle to be honest!!
