    hello.
Forum noobie - apologies if post breaks any rools.

Just bought an e61 520d touring and i drive is telling me I have a reverse light fail. Manual says to go to BMW dealer but it appears to be as simple as unscrewing the panel from the centre of the inner boot lid then replacing the bulb in the housing.

Is there anything I should be wary of before removing the panel and is it a straightforwward bulb change?
Any recommended bulbs or is a standard w16w ok??

Also, is the tailgate sensitive to water ingress -just got shot of an A4 which had a persistent reverse bulb fail due to corroded wires - paranoid its happened again!!
