Good article here which discusses brightening up the Angel Eyes part of the Halogen Headlights. I have halogen lights to my disappointment and am interested in brightening up my Angel Eyes, but at £80, is there not a cheaper bulb/option?

Won't be a cheaper bulb option, and doubt there will be a cheaper LED option that won't bring up errors.

I have bought some of these from ebay (infact the same ones as the first link but are now £5.99 I think)

    http://www.car-mod-shop.co.uk/WHITE%...%20LED%20bulbs

These ones are £13 so still cheaper than £80

Well, my bulbs arrived today and I have fitted them. I got them from ebay from Direct Motors for £7.98 as apposed to £80! (search for BMW 5 SERIES 87-07+ LED SIDELIGHTS NO CANBUS ERROR)

The drivers side was particularly difficult to get at and spent a good 15 minute doing the first bulb. The passenger side however just fell in.

The Angel Eyes are now a much crisper, white light instead of the yellow. It probably wont show up as much during the day, but I prefer the look. Ignoring the flash reflection, the light does not bleed into the main lens as much as the yellow bulbs.

Ill post some night-time ones when its dark

It is two sets you require, so £16 ish, but not the ones you list! These have 4 LED's per bulb! The single LED ones work better. Same company, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E39-E46-E6...-/130363874126

Now, can I get these LED ones in yellow and would that make a difference? Can I get the original 501 bulbs in a higher wattage and would that work or cause issues?

Bottom line is, I just want brighter Angel Eyes (like the Xenons)
